Trustee (Cheshire West and Chester)
We’re passionate about making the countryside and green spaces in Cheshire, Halton, Stockport, Trafford, Wirral and Warrington better for everyone to enjoy. Our vibrant team of volunteers inspire people to care for the countryside and enjoy the benefits it brings wherever they live.
Volunteering with us is a fantastic way to help us champion environmental issues such as the climate emergency, renewable energy, biodiversity and sustainable transport. We're currently working on delivering our CPRE Centenary Photo Competition and our Hedgerow Heroes project in which we are using £50,000 of money from CPRE national to work with partners and communities to get ca 2 kilometres of hedging planted or restored. We also occasionally run local walks and have a busy team of planning volunteers who work with local communities to help respond to planning issues affecting the countryside.
With your support we can do even more! As a trustee you’ll have an essential role in contributing towards the future direction of our charity.
Our friendly team will provide you with training and support to develop in your role. You’ll gain valuable skills and experience in charity governance. Attendance at Trustee Board meetings is encouraged - these are currently held on Tuesday mornings, 6 times per year although changes to the day of the week may be considered subject to availability of staff and Trustees.
