Litter Picker (Winchester)

We’re passionate about making the countryside in Hampshire a better place for everyone to enjoy. Our vibrant team of volunteers inspire people to care for the countryside and enjoy the benefits it brings wherever they live.

As a CPRE Hampshire litter picker you will join our team of volunteer litter pickers collecting rubbish on road-side verges on a Saturday morning in the Winchester local authority area.

Each week, along with our pool of volunteers, you will be emailed details of the planned locations to see if you are free to help. (You are not committed to helping every week).

You will be provided with a hi-vis vest, gloves, litter grabber and bag. You will also be supported by an Idverde truck and driver, (the company that undertakes Winchester City Council’s street cleaning), so that you can safely clear road verges by working ahead of the truck with several other volunteers.

Prior to the litter pick we will share your email address with who Idverde will provide you with health and safety guidance which once read you will need to sign for on the day so that you are covered by their insurance.

We provide out-of-pocket travel expenses if required.
